š ššŗ SwingSea Varna are offering a free taster workshop in preparation for the new Lindy Hop course this season!
The most popular swing dance style - the Lindy Hop - was born in Harlem, New York, about a century ago within the African-American community. It follows classics such as Tap dance and the Charleston, and is the predecessor of Rock'n'Roll. Swing dance fosters the spirit of community, mutual support and a healthy competition, and it never fails to put a smile on dancers' faces! You are very welcome to join us in this context of fun! š
In this two-hour workshop, you will learn the basics of the Lindy Hop style, but most importantly you will find your groove on jazzy swing music! No previous dance experience is required. Lindy Hop is danced in pairs - we will rotate partners during the workshop, so you don't need to bring a +1. Wear something comfy, bring a pair of clean shoes and just enjoy yourself!
